Supergreens Smoothie Recipe

Now that the days are getting longer and the weather, hopefully, warmer, here is a lovely fresh smoothie for Spring and Summer. Combining Celery, cucumber and apple together creates a delicious drink that’s nicely sweet but which contains lots of great stuff. When you add our Super Greens mix to this, the health benefits soar.

With the celery, you get loads of vitamins, compounds and minerals that help to promote kidney health, improve blood pressure, cleanse your whole system, boost your immune system and can also help to lower your blood pressure. 

Cucumber contains alkaline-forming minerals and is a great source of vitamins C and A (anti-oxidants), folate, manganese, potassium, silica, sulfur, as well as vitamin B complex, sodium, calcium, and phosphorus. Cucumber contains unique polyphenols called lignans, three of which - lariciresinol, pinoresinol, and secoisolariciresinol - have a strong history of research in connection with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease as well as several cancer types, including breast, uterine, ovarian, and prostate cancers. Like celery, cucumber can help in regulating blood pressure because of its minerals and traces of sodium.
